Buckalo Bill is naturally gaited with high stepping action, a long over stride and a great head shake. He has thick bone, strong hooves and an overall excellent conformation. Buckalo Bill, as we named for his old west bloodlines, is going to be an excellent out cross for many mares. He does not have any Pride blood. His dam and granddam are certified Heritage Society horses. This has been proven to be a great cross and we look forward to see more of his foals in the future! This has been proven by a breeder that bred a few mares to Buckalo Bill and let his foals run with the mares and have no initial human contact. A buyer of one of the foals from that breeder said they loaded his colt up on a trailer backed up to the pen. Bill was purchased as a weanling for our breeding program and has been on the following schedule: Our foals are vaccinated at 6 months of age then given a second dose again in 3-4 weeks with the following: Eastern, Western and Veneauelan Encephalomyelitis, Rhino EHV-1 and EHV-4, Kentucky 97, and influenza A1 and A2 and Tetanus. They are given the above listed vaccinations every 6-12 months when needed. At 9-11 months of age they are given the 1st dose of West Nile vaccine in March usually before their 1st birthday. They are given a second dose of West Nile 3-4 weeks later and then anually thereafter. All of our horses are de-wormed faithfully with the following on the following schedule: January/February: Safe Guard or Anthelcide EQ March/April: Zimecterin or Zimecterin Gold May/June: Strongid July/August: Equimectrin September/October: Exodus November/December-to make sure it is after the first hard frost: Zimecterin They are also de-wormed twice/year for tapeworms too.
